Setting up Chipyard

We officially support running Chipyard on Ubuntu 20.04 and Ubuntu 22.04. Please refer to the following tutorial on how to set up on your local Ubuntu system.

For those who are taking EE 194 Tapeout class, or part of the UC Berkeley Architecture Research (UCB-BAR) group, refer to the following tutorial on how to set up Chipyard on the BWRC compute clusters.

Although not recommended, you can also set up Chipyard on either Windows 10 via Windows subsystem Linux 2 (WSL2), or on MacOS.
